Solarpunk’d Berlin 2048

Solarpunk ist ja ein bisschen wie die Fridays-For-Future-Version von Cyberpunk und malt sich die Zukunft zwischen all den apokalyptischen Ausblicken mit trotzigem Optimismus schön aus. Der Stil drückt meist eine Art technologische Öko-Revolution aus, in der die Menschheit fortschrittlich im Einklang mit der Natur lebt und das Klimawandelproblem durch futuristisches back to the roots living gelöst hat.
Außerdem scheint immer die Sonne und wirklich alles grünt. Positive Vibes only quasi. Und ich finde ja eigentlich ganz gut, dass es auch mal Visionen gibt, in denen alles gut ist. Die Realität ist ja auch schon scheiße genug, da möchte ich mir nicht noch zusätzlich immer vorstellen, dass auch die Zukunft scheiße aussieht.
Ein punk'iges Berlin stellt man sich dabei vermutlich anders vor, aber ein solargepunk'tes Berlin sieht auf jeden Fall auch ziemlich schnieke aus. Würde ich wohnen wollen. Vorausgesetzt die Mieten sind nicht ums billionenfache gestiegen bis zum Jahr 2048. Genau das Jahr soll dieses Utopian Artwork von Alex Rommel auch abbilden, das aus einem Buch namens Utopia 2048 stammt und ausnahmsweise nicht nur in Berlin spielt:

Imagine you wake up in a future where the great social-ecological transformation has succeeded, democracy is flourishing, peace and prosperity prevail, the economy is oriented toward the common good, and the climate crisis has been averted successfully. How would this new world look like?

Utopia 2048 takes two "time travelers" through the cities, businesses and institutions of such an inspiring society. In the course of their journey, they experience democracy innovations in a greened Berlin, they visit regenerative agriculture and a free school in the Brandenburg countryside, they visit the UN Tower in Singapore, a progressive university in Malmö and much more.
