Peter Crnokrak hat seinem 5-jährigen Sohnemann per EEG die Hirnströme gemessen. Beim Musik hören. Und zwar von meinem Ambiente-Electro-König Burial. Ein Mix aus schönen Songs (siehe unten), schönen Visuals und einer schönen Idee. Ganz schön schön.

"What Need Angel is a synesthetic transcription of the brainwave response of a five year old boy while listening to music. The project aims to develop a systematic methodology that allows for primal biological experiences to be visualised to facilitate the understanding of the emotional responses to stimuli. The computational video uses dynamic particle animation segments that are woven together to form a seamless, though at times jarring, reflection of the music listening experience. Particle behaviours such as size, speed, colour and direction of movement are all determined by the user’s passive brainwave responses to music stimuli."

Inside Me funktioniert mittels eines 3D-Scan-Verfahrens, das es erlaubt Körper nicht nur von außen, sondern auch von innen abzubilden (oder irgendwie so). Der Verantwortliche für diese LSD'esken Visuals ist in dem Fall der Kölner Dmitry Zakharov. Und den Soundtrack liefert, sehr passend wie ich finde, der gute Nils Frahm mit seinem Song Me Rework. Flashy.

"This project is based on a 3D-scan technique, which allows me to reproduce an image of my own body as a 3D object in a software. It is possible to view this object not just from outside, but also from the inside as a negative as well, which creates abstract shapes. The film reflects the invisible inner world of an individual, which owns a small universe in itself, created by experiences and feelings - as well in the digital world as in real life. We try to express ourselves and approach our world another being, but still, nobody can see in our souls entirely."
